Objetivos de la organizaciónThe guanaco is very important in
the history and culture of the Tehuelche and Mapuche people in Patagonia.
Once severely depleted by over hunting, they are now sufficiently numerous
to be a significant food and fiber source requiring controlled management
to keep the herds healthy. We at Patagonia being
the designers and manufacturers, are involved in a joint project with the
native people. This sustainable resource can be a substantial
benefit to the residents of Patagonian communities.
